BRENDON HOUSE

Brendon HouseWelcome to Brendon House, a 4 Star country Guest House, restaurant and tea garden nestling in the tranquil Brendon Valley at the very heart of Exmoor. Formerly a farmhouse, Brendon House was built circa 1780 and still retains many of the original features and character and sits in around an acre of mature gardens in a very sunny and tranquil location on the outskirts of Brendon village. We are located only a couple of miles from the rugged North Devon coast and the coastal fishing village of Lynmouth. There are truly wonderful walks through wood areas by the river, Moorland, traditional Exmoor farmland and the dramatic coastal path to be enjoyed. From the house the Brendon Valley sweeps east to Malmsmead, brought to fame by the book 'Lorna Doone', and west to Watersmeet then onward to the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. There is a comfortable resident?s lounge with log fire in the winter and an award winning restaurant. Owners and restaurateurs Ian & Sandra Rigby take great pride in serving delicious, wholesome country style dishes, prepared from local meats, seafood and game. Seasonal vegetables are sourced locally and supplemented with fresh organically grown produce from the kitchen garden. Rates from £29.50 per night
